ok - so my theme for accumulation was 'hair' and how it represents our appearance- and appearance is like a prison- its part of us- something we cannot excape- and it creates stigma for us- people judge us initally by appearance-thats just life and no matter how much we want to escape what our looks create for us- there's little we can do about it- and not only that- but hair- carries our own history- the history of who we are- which can come from how we look... so my original project was to be a doll- with my hair attached to her- and forming a dress down her whole body- it would represent that our hair creates our beauty- but the braids around her body and wrists would represent the prison part of appearance- the way we are trapped by how we look- however, i did not like the way the doll came out- it was extremely messy and hard to make and the result was not the neatest so i made one more project

which is simpy a silouette of a woman who looks like she is struggling against an invisible force- and the locks of hair around her make her beautiful but also trapped- either way- i wanted to show that hair and appearances are both a blessing and a curse- its too bad we cannot escape the judgements that come with how we look... :(
